Section A - Textual analysis and representation
Will have to analyse a 5 min TV clip of a drama.

1. Camera angles, Shots, Movements & Composition.
2. Mise En Scene (Clothing, makeup, lighting, props, anything you can see by the camera)
3. Editing
4. Sound

All tell how the story is both being represented and being told.
Representation is the way something is portrayed how they want something to appear.

• Facial Expressions
• The way they talk
• Actions
• Movement
• Attitude
• Personality
• The way they sit
• Eye Contact
• The way you speak, how you speak and where you are speaking
• Hair, makeup, appearance

Stereotypes of different people, how you stereotype people.

• Ethnicity
• Age
• Social Influences, Class Bracket/Status
• Religion
• Gender
• Sexuality
• Physical Ability/disablility
• Regional Identity
